Property Negotiator
The Property Negotiator role is responsible for negotiating and procuring various forms of accommodation in order to either prevent homelessness or to fulfil The Council’s statutory duties for eligible clients, at the best price, in a cost-effective manner that provides value for money to the Council. You will work with the market to increase the amount of PRS accommodation available for use in homelessness prevention, reducing the use of emergency and temporary accommodation.
You will source accommodation for the client group that is both suitable and affordable, and that complies with legislative requirements, preventing legal challenges. You will also record and monitor service delivery issues and complaints as they arise, liaising with landlords and agents to address and remedy issues as appropriate. You will provide advice and guidance to landlords with the purpose of gaining trust in the PRS market and develop relationships with those landlords, therefore increasing supply of accommodation for use.
