MPS/UPS + SEN Alowance 1/2
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and providing advice for hearing impaired pupils in mainstream and special schools. They will need to have excellent oral and written communication skills and understand the barriers to learning that children and young people with a hearing impairment face and how these barriers may be overcome. Specialist knowledge and experience with SEN and hearing impairment is essential. The post holder will need to have an ability to challenge, motivate and inspire teachers, teaching assistants, parents/carers and professionals across the Children and Young People’s Service. A commitment to inclusive education for all hearing impaired pupils is required.
