ABOUT THE JOB

 This is an exciting time to join Newham as our improvement journey is starting to take shape.

Reporting to the Care Proceedings Case Manager, the Proceedings Coordinator will support the service’s overall aims by providing high quality administrative and clerical support including the undertaking of minute taking of complex meetings in relation to legal proceedings and supporting with work relating to the permanency process as required.

Managing diaries, arranging meetings, data entry and keeping track of ongoing work, and therefore having an exceptional eye for detail, is key in this role; with the ability to analyse data and provide reports quickly and efficiently to management when required. You will build positive working relationships with Managers, Social Workers, external partners, Solicitors and may have direct contact with families in meetings.

This is a ‘hands on’ role when it comes to supporting staff in the  delivery of the service i.e. by scheduling and collating key documents for meetings, liaising with internal and external partners and taking a proactive approach to finding solutions.

We are looking for a Coordinator with previous experience in a similar coordinator or complex support role. You have an excellent level written English and will have experience of taking minutes of complex meetings. You will have strong organisational and data analysis skills in order to be able to help us assess and plan work within the service. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with staff across the service and build relationships with a wide range of partners externally in addition to within the organisation. You have a ‘can do’ attitude and are flexible.
