About the role

As Libraries Coordinator you will be:

  • designing and implementing user education programmes (e.g. training videos, workshops)
  • promoting the use of online resources to community groups and customers
  • developing and delivering effective communications to the public, partners and colleagues to publicise libraries services, events and activities using social media and other digital tools

As part of our team of Libraries Coordinators, you will assist in the deployment, training and supervision of Library Officers, casual staff and volunteers. You will spend about half of your time on duties including working on the Libraries Information Hub, answering enquiries and providing information to public and staff, and occasionally being the Supervisor in charge at Hove Library. You may also be required to deputise for the Daily Manager over lunch times, or when the Manager is caught up with another operational issue.

The other half of your time will be spent coordinating the delivery of library services in your digital specialist role.

We’re committed to being a fair and inclusive employer and public service provider and an actively anti-racist council.  We particularly encourage applicants from a BME or White Other background, LGBTQ, as well as those who identify as disabled to apply.

Interview: week commencing 17 May 2021
