Vacancy for Level B Teaching Assistant
Working hours: 32.5hrs
Salary: Scale 3 - £19,312 – £19,698 + SEN point Pro Rata Salary will be 30 hours per week plus SEN on scale 3 point 5 for TA role (46.94 paid weeks per year) and 2.5 hours per week on scale 1 - 2 point 1 for MDSA role. (43.6 paid weeks per year)
Fixed term: December 2021 in the first instance
Start date: TBC
About the role
The Central Hub Brighton needs a dynamic and innovative Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will have to have the resilience and ability to work as part of a small team dedicated to supporting our young people with SEMH to help overcome their barriers to learning and instil the skills that they need to succeed.
You will need to be:
- Flexible and able to travel across sites
- Supportive to learners
- Adaptable to changing classroom climates
- Able to effectively manage challenging behaviour
The Central Hub Brighton currently has four sites over the City, the PRU element at Lynchet Close and Dyke Road, KS4 Hub and Homewood College. We have good links with other educational organisations in the city and share resources and training opportunities.
