Job introduction

The Children's Placement Team is expanding to provide services to Care Leavers in need of accommodation. In addition to identifying placements in Residential, Foster Care and Semi-Independent Accommodation, the team will also undertake Supported Accommodation, Supported Lodgings and Staying Put Arrangements for Care Leavers ages 18 - 25 years. 

We wish to appoint one part Resource Officer to undertake this work. Please state your desired working arrangement on your application.

About the role

The position of Resource Officer fulfils a crucial role in identifying accommodation for Children and Care Leavers under the Children Act 2004. The post holder will undertake negotiations with care providers to ensure that services provided are appropriate, provide good outcomes and Value for Money. 

The post holder will require excellent verbal and written communication, confidence in negotiating with external suppliers and good interpersonal skills. 

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
