This is a full time, permanent role based in the Town Hall with the ability to work remotely for most of the week.

Our skilled and Lexcel accredited Legal Team has a crucial role providing the full range and variety of expert services across all areas of the Council’s work.

 

If you’re an experienced and highly motivated legal professional keen to maximise your potential, then we’d love to hear from you. You will be joining a dynamic, supportive, commercially focused team, working in a relaxed but professional environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

You will be able to demonstrate experience of working on regeneration projects, commercial property and residential (right to buy) conveyancing transactions, acquisitions and disposals and other related property regeneration work. You will have excellent drafting skills and an eye for detail. You will be able to conduct your caseload without supervision and will be accustomed to working at pace in a busy team.  You will provide legal advice to a variety of audiences, including senior officers and supervise junior members of the team. You will be able to conduct your caseload with minimum supervision and will be accustomed to working at pace in a busy team.

 

Requirements

 

You must be a Qualified Solicitor/Barrister or Fellow of CILEX and hold a practising certificate.
