Temporary Accommodation Residents Support Manager PO4:

This post is based in Housing Options

The successful candidate will manage a small team which provides floating support to the most vulnerable homeless households living in Temporary Accommodation (TA). The service supports single people as well as families with children in TA, also assisting with resettlement when they move into the private sector, and in both cases the aim is to ensure that people maintain their tenancies successfully.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of staff management, preferably working with this client group, and have a track record of successful performance management in this area.

The person will need to be IT literate, numerate, able to analyse reports and have a good understanding of relevant housing legislation and Welfare Benefits.

They will also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills when working with colleagues, stakeholders and service users. They also need to demonstrate their experience of successful collaborative working, across services.

The successful candidate will need to evidence the following:

  • An understanding of homelessness legislation
  • An understanding of Welfare Benefits legislation
  • Proven ability to improve a teams performance
  • Interrogating procedures and processes, leading on any changes identified.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Evidence of collaborative working across relevant services
