Salary - £52,866 - £56,100 per annum pro rata to £26,433 - £28,050 per annum for 18 hours per week | Based in Kingston | Permanent | Part-Time, 18 hours per week

About the role
The role of the Education Safeguarding Adviser is to evaluate practice, plan and lead support for schools in Kingston and Richmond in relation to safeguarding. As Education Safeguarding Adviser for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for
providing advice, support and challenge to school leaders in relation to safeguarding through a service level agreement
building relationships with local independent schools, providing advice, support and challenge, on a pay-as-you-go basis
quality assurance of school safeguarding audits, carrying out reviews, writing reports, planning and delivering training.

About you
To be Education Safeguarding Adviser for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:
- Relevant professional qualification in social work and Social Work England registration
- Evidence of significant continuing professional development
- Substantive experience of safeguarding in a professional and operational capacity such as at the level of team manager or senior practitioner
- Considerable knowledge and understanding of legislation, statutory frameworks and national policy affecting safeguarding in schools and education services
- Ability to evaluate all aspects of safeguarding in relation to a school’s duties
- Experience of working with senior school leaders and/or governors to improve practice
- Able to plan and deliver high quality training.

Start dates
Achieving for Children have fixed start dates, candidates are advised to prepare for this should a job offer be accepted to ensure eligible continuous service is not affected.
