About the role
This is a fixed term position for up to 12 months.
As a School Building Surveyor you will be required to work with all the Local Authority maintained schools to:
- produce a detailed stock condition survey of each school;
- review their current maintenance processes and procedures, providing advice on improvement that should be made and challenging current practices where required;
- ensure schools are carrying out the statutory health and safety and compliance checks;
- provide any further advice to ensure that the school's built assets are being properly maintained.
About you
You will have significant experience of working in a Building Surveying role. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you are expected to proactively provide advice and guidance to schools on how to deal with a wide range of building related issues.
Previous experience of working with schools and having through knowledge of the maintenance responsibilities for maintained schools is desirable.
You must be able to work to strict deadlines, have excellent organisational skills, have strong IT skills and be comfortable working independently.
