Planned Works Surveyor (Kent)
Are you confident in leading a team of staff to design, procure and deliver improved dwellings for Residents?
Do you have experience of planned, cyclical and major works, such as roofing, structural, windows, doors, electrical/gas inspections, and Kitchen and Bathroom upgrades?
Can you carry out surveys, inspections and reports, prepare specifications and create schedules of works, measure and monitor performance, and financial delivery, and formulate end goals for contractors?
If that’s you, a fabulous opportunity has arisen to join our Property Services team based in Sittingbourne who manage our kitchen and bathroom programme in the Kent area as a Planned Works Surveyor (Kent).
What you'll do
You’ll ensure the provision of an efficient asset management service for a specified area to Optivo owned and managed homes.
You’ll ensure contracts and works are formulated and delivered in a timely and cost effective manner to agreed quality standards, value for money, statutory and regulatory legislation, health & safety compliance, ensuring high levels of customer and client satisfaction.
You’ll prepare individual projects with risk assessments, budgeting, forecasting and specification. Communication throughout the project to consultants, contractors, internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll need
You’ll have previous building surveying or construction experience in a housing environment It is essential that the candidate will have a compelling track record of project managing and delivering major works and service contracts.
You’ll need to demonstrate strong programme planning & delivery, procurement & contract management skills and an ability to effectively manage budgets. You will also need to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of building construction and relevant legislations, defects identification and have the ability to write technical reports and schedules of works.
You’ll be able to effectively manage and supervise staff to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.
You’ll have experience with Contract Management including regular reports for Planned Maintenance Programme.
You must have a valid UK driving licence and access to your own Vehicle.
