Street Cleansing Driver
Job introduction
We are recruiting two Street Cleansing Drivers to join Cityclean team.
This entails driving/ operating a range of vehicles. You would be working alone or as part of the team providing high standards of cleanliness in designated parts of the city.
Driving license category C1 but preferable C.
The two jobs are in the central area on the PM shift.
The roles are for 13:40 - 22:00 driving an array of vehicles including small dustcarts and transit vans as required on rolling rota. Extra payments are made for late finishes and weekend working.
Training , personal protective clothing and equipment will be provided and you will be required to undertake a driving assessment.
About the role
To drive / operate Council vehicles / equipment and undertake duties in connection with emptying litter bins and sweeping, collection and removal of litter, dirt, leaves and refuse from public spaces and other designated areas in accordance with daily instructions and the specification of the service.
Applicants for the role must hold a clean driving license C1 but preferable C with CPC card.
You should have a good understanding of the Highway Code, be able to complete legal driving documentation and be able to carry out vehicle checks and routine maintenance.
The ability to drive safely in crowded pedestrians areas is essential.
Applicants should have excellent communications skills both written and oral.
Six months fixed term contracts

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.
