Salary range: PO4 grade (£40,869 - £43,860)
Fixed Terms for 6 months (The role will be on London Borough of Newham terms and conditions)
You will work with our a Senior HR Consultant to deliver high quality and consistent HR advice and guidance in relation to a TUPE project in a legally compliant and efficient way that positively impacts customer effectiveness, efficiency and confidence. Over the past 12 months significant progress has been made to build relationships with our partner councils and to improve and streamline internal systems and processes. The TUPE project is within Environment and Sustainable Transport part of our partner Council- London Borough of Newham. We are looking for someone with expertise of TUPE and project process and ability to make decisions independently with minimal support. This is a critical role for making the TUPE process smooth and contribute to wider HR Operations team by adopting good practice and engaging incoming or outgoing member of staff.If you are looking to develop your HR career in a busy, fast paced, diverse and complex environment and are looking for your next challenge, this newly created role in our HR Operations team could be for you!
We are seeking an established HR Consultant who has proven employment relations experience and is able to complement the existing HR team with their own recent experience of TUPE ‘transfers in’ from union recognised organisations. Experience of mobilising resources and managing change across multi-site environments is essential. Confident working independently and autonomously in an advisory capacity, you will need to be resilient and flexible in nature. The post holder will need to produce a number of presentations for the consultation process so proficiency with Word and PowerPoint is required.
We are looking for individuals who are professional, committed, enthusiastic and self – motivated. You will have significant experience of working in a large HR team, however, this role sits with the management team of the specific directorate and will be based at Folkestone road depot. In current climate, there will be opportunity to work from home as and when needed, however, it is expected that you will be able to attend meetings in person according to the needs of the service and be able to work in a safe manner within current government guidelines due to COVID 19.
You will have specialist knowledge of HR, TUPE and Projects and be a skilled communicator able to work closely with other senior leaders, and will have the ability to promptly deal with problems, ensuring that deadlines are met whilst successfully delivering conflicting priorities. You will demonstrate confidence in providing excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of staff satisfaction at all times while making progress to the project.
This new temporary role can be offered on a secondment basis to an internal candidate for an initial period of 6 months with potential for an extension subject to review. If you have strong HR project/TUPE skills, the ability to develop a project plan and deal with the some complex Terms and conditions issues in a TUPE, combined with excellent customer focus and knowledge of our policies, procedures and employment law, you may wish to apply.
