This is a great opportunity to join a successful, high performing Team, in an ambitious Council that is always striving to move forward. Our Digital Services Team are changing in the way we deliver our service and are reflecting the new ways of working with the use of Digital, Data and Technology.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager that wants to make a difference and can provide support to the team through a period of development and change, with an aim of operating slick and efficient processes and projects whilst providing the best service to our customers, residents and businesses.
With exciting times ahead, we are reshaping the Digital Services Team and have created roles, to add value and to provide the best service to our citizens.
The Role:
The Senior Project Manager will report to the Head of Strategic Portfolio and Projects within Digital Services and have accountability for managing IT enabled projects both directly and through a team of Project Managers throughout the Council.
Permanent, Full Time contract
MM2 £48,078 - £61,497 pa
Key Accountabilities:
The successful applicant will be expected to:
Deliver the Council's technology enabled innovation and strategic development projects
Ensure all projects are managed and delivered according to prevailing governance with particular emphasis on financial management
To be responsible for developing and managing key stakeholder relationships required to deliver projects
To continually develop systems, processes and governance to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department and project delivery
Lead and Manage a team of Project Managers
- Develop a team of Project Managers to be the centre of excellence for project management
