Salary: SO2 £32,418 to £34,209

X3 Permanent, Full Time (36 hours)

We are looking to recruit suitable candidates to the role of Family Coach to provide additional support to parents and carers of offending young people as part of our new Strengthening Families model. We recognise that families play an important role alongside of professionals to enable young people to stay safe and prevent them from offending and risk of harm to themselves and others. This new approach will enable us to provide support to families in an enabling way, providing advocacy, strengthening parenting skills and approaches in a coaching way, practical support, provision of information, advice and guidance whilst helping families to increase their resilience to overcome challenges and barriers that may impact on their ability to parent and keep their children safe.

Our ambition is to see children as children within youth justice services, treat them fairly and help them to build on their strengths so they can rehabilitate and make positive contributions to society. This will prevent offending and create safer communities with fewer victims in Enfield.

  • Are passionate about making a difference to children and young people involved in youth justice and their families
  • Are flexible and willing to work outside of the office 9-5 hours when families and young people need help
  • Have an ability to develop positive relationship of trust with young people their families
  • Are a great team player with ‘a can do’ approach and positive outlook

You will be joining a well-resourced service supported by mature and caring management team that has a clear understanding of strengths and areas of development within our practice.
