We are looking for an experienced senior commissioner in health and social care to lead the established integrated commissioning team for adults and children in Ealing.


This is a joint post working for Ealing Council and NHS Ealing Clinical Commissioning Group. The post holder will be based at Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road, W5 2HL and will be able to work remotely in line the Councils response to national COVID-19 restrictions.


The post holder will manage a team of commissioners covering older adults, learning disabilities, mental health, independent living & community equipment, drug and alcohol and children’s social care and health services. The post holder will report jointly to the assistant director, commissioning and use of resources within the council and the managing director of Ealing Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).


You will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of legislation and national policy relating to the health and welfare of both adults and children and young people; expert knowledge of all aspects of the commissioning process; detailed knowledge and experience of structures, purpose and national policy relating to the NHS and local government, and proven ability to function effectively within these structures.


You will also have proven ability to manage multiple projects and staff across different departments, including motivating and mentoring individuals and teams, the ability to exercise prudent judgement within constrained timescales and resources in the light of competing pressures, and proven ability to manage funding streams.


You will be an excellent communicator at all levels and to a variety of audiences and will have a thorough understanding of demographic profiling, health inequalities and health and social care issues in a diverse community and a commitment to adhere to and promote equalities legislation and local policy.
