Job introduction
Cityclean is at a critical point and is making plans for the future of the service. We have secured funding to modernise our IT systems and you will be at the forefront of leading and delivering improvements using digital solutions to ensure that the current and future needs of our refuse, recycling and street cleansing services are met.
Our service has an integral role in resident, business and visitor perceptions of Brighton & Hove and is fundamental to the success and attraction of our city. You will lead the improvement of our IT systems to improve the customer experience of residents using our services and to increase staff satisfaction and morale by giving them the right tools to do their job.

About the role
We are looking for an individual who is experienced, organised and confident. You’ll build good working relationships across Cityclean and the council. Joint working is essential for us to successfully deliver digital solutions to improve services for our workforce and residents across Brighton & Hove.
The role is varied and accommodates a person who can manage their time effectively and communicate and engage with a diverse set of stakeholders. You’ll work for Cityclean and alongside a Business Analyst and the IT & Digital Team where there are plenty of knowledge sharing and learning opportunities.
We want someone to join our team who can demonstrate experience in:
- Working as a Project Manager in an organisation.
- Excellent communication and engagement, both externally to residents and internally to colleagues.
- Ability and confidence to liaise and work closely with stakeholders, at all levels.
- Change management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and/or experience of the waste sector is desirable but not essential.
Fixed term for: 12 months

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
