We’re looking for an exceptional Asset Compliance Surveyor who wants to make a difference and thrives in a challenging environment. If you have a proven track record of working in a surveying, maintenance or stock reinvestment environment, and hold a current BOHS P402 Asbestos Surveying qualification, look no further! Join Optivo as an Asset Compliance Surveyor.

In this exciting role, you’ll carry out compliance related property inspections covering our whole stock portfolio. In addition, you’ll undertake a variety of on-site and office based activities that help support the delivery of our Asset Compliance Management Plans.

You’ll work collaboratively with several Compliance Managers and other Asset Compliance Surveyors to ensure the maintenance and improvement of our compliance systems.

As well as carrying out inspections of asbestos containing materials, you will undertake site visits relating to compliance areas including, but not restricted to, water safety, lift safety, fire safety, gas safety, electrical safety, car park barriers, fall arrest equipment, lightning conductors, emergency lighting, etc.

What you'll need

You’ll have a proven track record of working within Asset Compliance as a Surveyor within a social housing environment.

You’ll have an excellent understanding of building related compliance issues, demonstrable through a relevant qualification and work experience.

You’ll have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing with the ability to produce good quality written technical reports.

You’ll have working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and using handheld technology to enter survey data.

The role will work with a range of residents and colleagues, so a positive approach to collaborative team working is essential. You’ll need to live our one team culture.
