The Post

This post presents an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work within the finance and contract management function, within the Children and Young People’s Commissioning Team, to ensure that high quality and cost effective services are delivered for children and young people with complex needs, including looked after children, care leavers and children with special educational needs and disabilities.

The post-holders will work to ensure the quality assurance of placements and commissioned services for vulnerable children and young people. They will also utilise and develop their knowledge and market insight to support the commissioning of services and undertake financial duties.

The Person

The ideal candidates will have experience of successfully delivering financial administration and contract management ideally within a local government or Children’s Services setting, coupled with a good knowledge of relevant legislative and statutory frameworks.

However, exceptional communication skills and the ability to develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders are crucial. As is the ability to work as part of a team, within a challenging yet supportive environment and possess a solution focused approach.

The role is for resilient candidates who are passionate about making a positive contribution to the outcomes of children and young people in Brent.
