Burnside Secondary School is looking for a Learning Support Coach who will:
- Act as a role model, setting an example of integrity and professionalism and high expectations.
- To be directed by the teacher in class.
- To supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Be responsive and proactive in dealing with pupils, monitor and track their progress, social and academic, individually and in groups.
- To develop positive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
- Encourage pupils to interact and work inclusively with others to engage in activities led by the teacher.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
- Liaise closely with all staff in the school by working as part of a team
- Know and understand your safeguarding responsibilities.
Experience in an educational setting is essential.
GCSE Grade 4/C in English and Maths
Level 2 + NVQ for Learning Assistant is desirable.
