Following the recent and further upcoming changes within the building safety sector, we are now looking for two Building Safety Managers to join our team to be responsible for the safety of residents within a patch of high-rise buildings.

What you will be doing… you will lead on the co-ordination and management of all matters relating to structural and fire safety in those buildings and work with others to ensure the buildings are safe from a fire and general health and safety compliance perspective. You will ensure that all buildings under your control fully comply with the outcome of the Hackitt Review, new Building Safety Bill and all related statutory and best practice obligations.  

As the eyes and ears of the building, we’ll look to you to ‘champion’ resident concerns and pro-actively engage residents in the safe management of their building.

You will have… sound technical knowledge and experience particularly in the area of fire safety along with the ability to deliver a customer focused service. Clear knowledge of the regulatory framework relating to health and safety legislation and best practice, around fire safety in buildings is a must as is a sound knowledge of other safety areas such as gas, asbestos and legionella regulations.

You will be customer focused and a team player able to manage relationships with colleagues, contractors, consultants and our residents. You’ll have strong IT skills and be confident updating and maintaining data bases and developing systems.

You will be qualified to Degree/HNC in building construction/surveying related field or equivalent skills with proven working experience in the field and have an In-depth experience and understanding of fire safety compliance in residential premises
