Role Purpose

Family Therapist - Edge of Care

Salary/Grade L: £49,581 - £52,569 pa incl LW 35 hours Permanent To provide clinical supervision to the workers in the council’sEdge of Care team. The team works alongside the area team social workers to support teenagers remainat home where there is risk of admission to care. The team also supports teenagers returninghome where their care plan is rehabilitation back to the family network.

Key Responsibilities

Tobe part of the management team in Edge of Care and to provide clinicalsupervision to up to four workers in the team at any given time.

To work alongside and in partnership with the teammanager and the clinical psychologist in the team to ensure that:

  • the key objectives of the team are aligned to the teamand service plan.

  • the team achieves any performance framework targetsidentified for the team.

  • strategic links are maintained with key partners in allmatters relating to edge of care work.



Requirements

Youwill need to be an experienced family therapist who is able to demonstrate anunderstanding of all matters relevant to edge of care and teenagers in at riskof admission to care.

Youwill need to have current or recent experience of providing systemic familytherapy to children and families where there is a risk of the child becominglooked after.

Youwill need to have experience of partnership working to improve outcomes forteenagers and their families.
