We are seeking an enthusiastic, performance driven, innovative individual to join our Home Ownership Services team as Sales & Leasehold Services Officer. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of both Right to Buy and Leasehold legislation, and preference will be given to applicants with experience in these fields.
The team will play an important part in our ambition to shape a progressive service offer for our tenants & leaseholders and for the wide range of our development and regeneration programmes. At Enfield we believe that better places are created both through improved physical design and infrastructure and good quality services.
This post links the Right to Buy and Leasehold Services areas of Enfield’s Home Ownership Services Team. The successful candidate will work with the Right to Buy Officer to manage and process all Right to Buy applications through to completion. In addition, they will be working as part of the team dealing with the day-to-day management of the Council’s leasehold portfolio and have specific responsibility for managing our leasehold subletting register. They will also support and manage the introduction of Shared Ownership and Shared Equity tenures as part of Enfield’s overall stock portfolio.
Candidates must have direct experience of delivering a front-line service in a challenging housing environment, be highly organised and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. They should be used to working as part of a team as well as on their own initiative and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience of using computerised information systems is also required. With an absolute commitment to first-rate customer services you will ensure excellent customer outcomes and experience for residents.

Fixed Term post/Secondment Opportunity
An external candidate, including Enfield Council agency workers, would be appointed on a fixed term contract, whilst internal candidates who are Council employees, would normally be expected to take up the post on a secondment basis.
To be eligible to apply for a secondment, Enfield Council employees must have completed probation and must have discussed/agreed the proposed secondment with their line manager. Fixed term contracts may be considered where secondment is not possible.
Secondments are the temporary loan of an employee from one part of the organisation to another part of the organisation and rely on the secondee to return to their substantive position on completion of the secondment.
