This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with great interpersonal and IT skills. In this role you’ll lead the strategic and operational management of the service to residents on an estate of 165 homes (105 tenanted and 60 leasehold) on behalf of Southwark Council. You’ll be responsible for the Co-op’s finances, as well as managing a team of four staff.
Your day to day responsibilities will include overseeing rent collection and income maximisation. You’ll also manage contractors and oversee tenancy services, repairs, voids and estate cleaning. You’ll provide robust performance data and reports to the Board and use great communication skills to build relationships with residents, the council and contractors.
A high level of finance skills, including budgeting and reporting, are an essential element of this position. You’ll need to be experienced in financial planning and service delivery, with demonstrable experience working in social housing. You’ll be enthusiastic, driven, with a problem-solving attitude to any obstacle that comes your way. As a lead member of the team, you’ll use your excellent knowledge of resident management to provide a first-class, front-line service to customers.
