We are looking for an Intelligence Officer to join our new and dynamic team of fraud investigators and be responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of intelligence gathering, assisting with investigations and providing data analysis; as well as leading on our right to buy verification checks.

An eye for detail, problem solving skills and being able to effectively analyse information will be key to this role. As well as your ability to effectively manage your time working on a number and range of projects will be essential to meet deadlines whilst understanding the needs, timescales and deadlines of others.

With a new leadership team and a collective ethos of improvement, we want to forge a new path at Newham. Ultimately, this is about making everyday life better for over 350,000 people across the borough, as well as millions of workers and visitors.

You’ll have a professional outlook and presence, along with experience in delivering projects in a fast paced, customer focused environment.  You’ll have a basic understanding of criminal investigations, managing material obtained and relevant legislation.

The Council is committed to a zero tolerance approach to fraud and the Intelligence Officer role will work with Fraud Investigators to be proactive in identifying and investigating tenancy fraud, corporate fraud and non-benefit related frauds committed against the Council
