The Community Neighbourhood Officer plays a significant role providing day to day operational management of Community Neighbourhoods facilities ensuring sufficient resources to effectively run services and activities to a high standard. Developing and promoting innovative opportunities for increasing activity in community facilities, ensuring the activities meet the needs of the community and supporting the senior officer to provide effective support to elected members in their community engagement role.
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent team building, relationship management and communication skills, experience of building and managing mutually beneficial partnerships and networks, a high level of self-motivation and the ability to resolve problems with a “can-do” attitude. The ideal candidate will be friendly and resilient, used to working in a customer-facing environment and dealing with complaints and disputes from members of the public.
