Workforce Programme Lead
Waltham Forest is an ambitious Borough.
We are ambitious for our people, our communities and our services.
We are currently looking for a Workforce Programme lead to champion and deliver the biggest workforce transformation Waltham Forest has ever seen, including the development and implementation of a new Workforce Strategy. The workforce strategy will have a focus on Leadership, Culture and Belonging and will form the basis from which Waltham Forest leads as a Council. A key theme will be diversity and equality, which will complement our Gender Pay Gap and new Ethnicity Pay Gap strategies.,
Working with the Fellowship Square and Employee Experience teams, you will build strategic, proactive relationships with key decision makers across the council, to understand, shape and deliver their priorities and new ways of working.
You will manage all the interdependencies associated with the Workforce Programme and appropriate resources and prioritisation applied across all change projects and programmes within our Public Services strategy portfolio.
An ambitious Borough
Driven by culture and the innate creativity of our residents, we have developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council. As London’s first Borough of Culture and the MJ Council of the Year, we are creating more opportunities to empower our residents and boost their life chances.
We are a Council bursting with energy and opportunity. Our strong grasp of our finances mean that we can invest – in our residents, our place and our people.
We have just launched our new Public Services Strategy – our new Corporate new strategy for Waltham Forest. Looking to harness the community spirit and leadership shown in the pandemic, this strategy focuses on four key priorities for our residents right now:
- Connecting People with Jobs
- Safe and Healthy Lives
- Our 15-minute City
- Confidence in Our Future
About you
To succeed in this role you will have direct experience of structuring, running and managing complex workforce change programme, as well as strategy implementation in Agile environments. You will be equally adept at building excellent relationships with senior managers and stakeholders, with a strong commitment to customer service excellence. You will be a successful and respected leader and manager able to lead and inspire teams in both traditional and matrixed working arrangements. We’re looking for individuals who are driven to improve public services, and who have a real passion for delivering change at pace in a dynamic environment.
