There are fantastic things happening in Ealing. From inward investment projects to Crossrail and HS2, to the large-scale development of thousands of new homes across the Borough, there’s so much to explore and develop. London Borough of Ealing Council are at the heart of exciting growth and you can be part of these future developments.

The Directorate of Place has undergone a major change process in the last few months, transforming its frontline customer-focussed services to deliver a more joined up, cohesive service.

The Assets and Property function strives to be the best in class for operational service delivery across the range of services that it delivers to its Council tenants and leaseholders. As with many landlords in recent times, there has been a strong focus on Health and Safety in particular Fire Safety.

The journey continues as we strive to build on the progress made. The next milestone on that journey is to recruit to a number of key positions within the service. We are looking for high calibre individuals who relish the challenge of change management, will lead from the front, are focussed on delivering great outcomes and the best customer experience.

This role will have responsibility for ensuring residents living in homes that are safe and are maintained to the highest standards. You will provide technical expertise and operational management of contractors to ensure that the council is delivering a high quality, customer-focussed value for money service that meets the highest possible standards and ensure that all mechanical and electrical installations and associated services are meeting statutory and best practice guidelines.

You will play an important part in helping the Council rise to the challenge of the Climate emergency declared in the Borough by working with term contractors to ensure that low carbon technology is installed into the housing stock as specified, ensuring that sustainable, low-carbon and renewable systems are adopted wherever possible, in order to assist the council in its commitment to becoming carbon neutral by 2030.

This role is subject to Ealing's enhanced vetting process
