This is an exciting and demanding opportunity to join a team of front line youth work practitioners operating within a diverse borough with the highest demographic of young people aged under 25 years old in London.
We are looking to recruit a nationally qualified, passionate and dynamic youth worker to join our expanding service with a special responsibility for developing and delivering our universal and targeted youth work offers.
ABOUT YOU
You will need to be passionate about improving life chances for Newham’s young people and set high standards for yourself and others.
You will be a dynamic individual who is able to effectively support our curriculum offer, have extensive experience of working with children and young people and be able to evidence how you have worked to improve successful outcomes with them.
Have an in depth understanding of contemporary multiple challenges young people face; and be able to deliver high impact services which produce tangible outcomes for the young people we work with and support
ABOUT THE JOB
Your principle role will:
- Develop in partnership with the Senior Youth Worker and wider service, a universal and targeted youth work curriculum that effectively supports young people’s social and emotional learning
- Co-produce inspirational programmes which ensure young people have fun, develop healthy networks and which amplify their voice through active participation, inclusion and engagement opportunities to effect positive change.
- Support , develop and sustain a wide range of additional partnerships and collaborations to enrich our core programme
- We are particularly interested in developing our creative and performing arts offer. Skills in this area are desirable but not essential
