We are recruiting for a Manager to work for one of our Learning Disability Accommodation, based in Brighton.
the post is currently a fixed term post for 6 months, but with a view to make this a permanent position going forward. We would be happy to consider anyone who would like to apply on the basis of a secondment from their substantive job. To lead and manage a team of care staff providing a flexible range of services to meet service users’ needs, ensuring the delivery of an effective, efficient, quality service that enables service users to maintain their independence and dignity. This includes overall responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of the service, and longer term development and planning.

You will join a small team of committed , long established staff who provide support to seven service-users within their own flats.
We are looking for a Manager to join a forward thinking, fast moving and progressive supported living service. If you think you have the skills and drive to contribute to an already excellent service this may be the opportunity for you
About the role
We are looking to recruit a Manager who who has proven experience of working with people who have learning disabilities. You will play an essential role leading the team to further develop the service and continue with providing the excellent service provision that is currently in place. You will also need to work closely with families and a multi-disciplinary team.
About you
You will need to have experience and an understanding of staff supervision, have clear written and verbal communication skills and be able to work within and manage the team.

BHCC provides 8 service for adults with a wide-range of learning/ disabilities living accommodation around the City.
) Our aim is to promote independence for service users to improve their quality of life while giving support to families and informal carers.
Your role would be to manage a staff team, oversee the day to day running of the service, assist the Operations Managers in planning and develop services and ensure the service meets legislation and CQC standards of care.
You would be based at Burwash Lodge Supported Living Service in Hollingdean, and work as part of a dedicated and professional team. Due to the nature of the service you will be required to be flexible in your working hours to ensure services are monitored and managed to a high standard.
About you:
- Demonstrable management experience of working within the Learning Disability field or related social care setting
- Have good written and number skills
- Be able to work well as part of a team
- Be able to work on your own initiative and think quickly in a difficult situation

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
