Job Details

As a successful, high performing Council in one of London’s most vibrant and diverse boroughs, we want to deliver our core services with a high level of quality, while seeking new and innovative ways to do business using technology. We are going through some unprecedented changes in the way we deliver our digital services due to COVID-19 and we are reflecting this new way of working in our new technology strategy and plan.

The keystone for our transformation is our new department vision:

“Digital Services will become a mature ‘customer first’ digital and data service that intimately understands the organisation and community it serves and leverages this insight to achieve Enfield Council priorities”.

We want to create a department and workflow that has ‘customer first’ in its DNA and continually focuses on value creation across the council. This means we are looking for people that are bold, who want to make a difference and who really care about the work they do and the impact it has.

The SharePoint and Service Tool Administrator has the responsibility for delivering day to day operational service delivery of both, SharePoint Online and Service Management tool platforms (currently ServiceNow), within the Digital Services at the council.

This will include configuration and implementation of the relevant components within these platforms to enable effective service delivery using best practice, mostly using standard functionality with use of 3rd party tools where applicable.

This role will be key to support the Senior SharePoint Lead with SharePoint & Intranet related implementations within M365 + operational support activities, and there will be a real potential for the person to become the SME in the Service Tool whilst working collaboratively with teams across Digital Services.

You will be working closely with the Senior SharePoint Lead and they will be expected to investigate, resolve and respond to incidents & requests relating to SharePoint, Intranet and Service Tool from service users within the required OLA/SLA.

The person will be expected to have a good understanding & appreciation of M365 and how SharePoint Online fits into the picture and works with other workloads within this product suite. Relevant knowledge and experience in managing & supporting Intranet built on SharePoint will also be required to excel in this role.

A key driver will be to help & support the business and its users to realise the desired benefits out of the solutions delivered on SharePoint and Service Tool platforms, whilst continually improving the operational service delivery.
