Job introduction

We are looking to recruit an Information Systems Analyst for a fixed term of 12 months within the Business Solutions Team – IT & Digital, in Brighton & Hove City Council.

The team provide integrated IT support and development for various systems deployed across Health & Adult Social Care, Families, Children & Learning and Housing Services Directorates. This role will focus primarily on Housing services.

About the role

IS Analyst – Role

The Business Solutions Team - IT & Digital are looking for a dynamic, flexible professional with good database knowledge who will be given plenty of opportunity to expand their IT development skills, in order to provide support for various Housing systems. We also require that you have a strong commitment to providing excellent customer support for several frontline employees within the different Housing service areas.

Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Support the configuration of Housing systems
  • Assist in the diagnosis of system errors and problems
  • Work with key business leads to ensure Housing requirements are met
  • Develop and maintain Housing Business Object reports
  • Support the testing of upgrades, changes and modifications to the system
  • Liaise with senior colleagues, other IT & Digital support teams and suppliers
  • Create user and system level documentation as appropriate to the needs of the system
  • Resolve incidents and support requests

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System.
