Notting Hill Genesis (NHG ) are one of the largest providers of homes in the UK and we are looking for a Carpentry Apprentice.
We build shared ownership, private sale, market rent, affordable rent, supported housing and student housing.

As a carpentry apprentice, you’ll be working on our development sites firstly in the in the borough of Newham, and then throughout London
You will be working with our specialist staff and contractors on site to learn and develop a wide range of skills to achieve the Apprenticeship Standard in Carpentry & Joinery.
We pay 25% above the national apprenticeship rate, and you’ll get a benefits package including 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays on top), all of your Personal Protective Equipment and a starter toolkit as well as other NHG benefits.
We are not looking for a particular type of person - there’s room for all kinds of people here.
You need to be at least 18 years old (no maximum age limit) and be able to demonstrate a keen interest in a carpentry career.
Ideally you would have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry and GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above. If not, you would be expected to attend college or a training provider while on the scheme to achieve these. At the end of the apprenticeship you will take an End Point Assessment to test your skills and knowledge gained during your apprenticeship.
You must live in the London Borough of Newham.
You will need to commit to 40 hours per week, consisting of time on various development sites across London as well. It is anticipated that the apprenticeship will take a minimum of 15 months and one day to complete.
