About the role
Tough economic times and a series of welfare reforms have made it harder than ever to collect the income needed to deliver services. As an Income Adviser with Brighton & Hove City Council you will join a busy, high profile income collection team. As well as providing organisational support to the team, you will work directly with tenants to identify any vulnerabilities and signpost them to appropriate services. Good listening skills and a caring, practical approach to people in financial difficulty are essential.
We are offering:
A challenging and interesting role
An opportunity to help people
The opportunity to learn about social housing and welfare reforms
The chance to work in a supportive and friendly environment
Video Interviews to be provisionally held 16th and 18th November
Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System.
From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
