We have some exciting opportunities for Domestic Assistants to provide domestic support within one of our Early Years Centres to help maintain a high standard of order and cleanliness throughout the centres. The successful candidates will be adept at cleaning, tidying, stock, supply and sanitise designated facility areas such as class rooms, communal areas, meeting rooms, offices, medical/health room, laundry area, staff room, kitchen, toilets and bathrooms, including vacuum cleaning, cleaning ceiling vents, skirting boards, washing, sweeping, emptying of litter and recycling bins, dusting, polishing and, mopping. This involves undertaking duties with an understanding of health and safety in all areas.

We are recruiting for the following;

  • Langtry Childrens Centre, 11-29 Langtry Road, Kilburn, London, NW8 0AJ - 10 hours per week
  • Somers Town Children’s Centre Services, 45-47 Polygon Road NW1 1SR – 7.5 hours per week
  • 1a Childrens Centre, 1 Rosebery Avenue, Holborn, London, EC1R 4SR - 15 hours (3 - 6pm) per week
  • Agar Childrens Centre, Wrotham Road, London, NW1 9SU – 15 hours per week
  • Hampden Childrens Centre, 80 Polygon Road, Somers Town, London, NW1 1HQ – x 2 posts, both 25 hours per week
  • Gospel Oak Children’s Centre, 5 Lismore Circus, London NW5 4QF – 25 hours per week.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

About you

To be considered for one of these fantastic opportunities the successful candidate mjst possess either one years Domestic Assistant experience or a similar role. You will be fully to respond to the needs of young people with sensitivity and respect. You will be an excellent team player who is able to prioitise your workload and manage your time effectively. Additionally you will possess basic literacy and numeracy skills and have a working knowledge of Food and Hygiene regulations alongside the ability to follow strict health and safety procedures.
