Client Affairs Officer

£33,945 to £36,711

This is a re advertisement of this position.  If you have applied twice for this position in the last 3 months we will not accept any re submissions. We have 2 post available in our Client Affairs Team. You will be working in a very busy environment. You will be expected to work on your own initiative and as part of the team. You will undertake site visits, carry out property searches with colleagues, and manage your own caseload of clients that live in residential care homes and in the community.  The job has its own challenges due the nature of the work.  The post is a generic post where you will deal with property protection, Sec46 Public Health Funerals, Appointeeship and Deputyship as part of your caseload.  You will be well supported in this role by your colleagues and managers. Due to COVID 19 most of our staff work from home, so we are looking for experienced staff in this area as training will be limited.

About you

Experience of Court of Protection Rules in relation to Deputyship for Property & Affairs

Have a good knowledge of accountancy practices in relation managing client’s monies

Experience of making application to the Courts and DWP

Good understanding of IT software packages, CASPAR would be desirable

Be able to manage own caseload and use your own initiative

Knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults

Enjoy the challenge of working in a department where no two days are the same

You must be compassionate and supportive

Due to COVID19 and the fact that most staff are working from home, we will only accept application forms from candidates with a proven history of working with people that are subject to a Court of Protection order for Property and Finance or Appointeeship.
