Managing Surveyor

You will have… a degree or HNC in building construction/surveying or a related field or have equivalent skills with a number of years proven working experience.
You will have experience of managing and motivating staff and teams, have excellent knowledge of building construction, standards and legislation, and an ability to diagnose and specify remedies to building defects.
You will have professional experience of leading a small technical team, delivering a customer focused, quality repairs service and programmes of planned investment works.
You will have good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, housing and property management systems as well as the ability to priorities a busy workload whilst working on a mobile basis.
What you will be doing… you will be responsible for the complex repairs and maintenance issues of THCH properties, focusing on carrying out inspections, diagnosing defects and managing works to ensure that they are completed to a high standard.
You will liaise with contractors and consultants to deliver repairs and planned works, overseeing and monitoring quality, cost and budgets.
You will act as THCH lead on the more complex and higher profile property management matters such as Aids and Adaptations, resident improvement requests, Party Wall matters, 3rd party requests to carry out work on our buildings/land.
You will be responsible for managing a small team which will deliver a surveying and inspection service.
As a member of the property services team you will be part of the office duty surveyor rota and also the out of hours emergency repairs rota (for which an allowance is paid).
You may also be required on occasion to attend resident meetings/events (may be out of hours).
