About the Job

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to progress and develop a career in HR.

As a HR Apprentice, you will play a key role in the delivery of a highly effective HR and OD service.

You will be engaging with a range of people and will be dealing with challenging situations and issues as they arise.

You will also be required to work effectively across a shared service, supporting the team by providing administrative support and will use HR systems to record and maintain information.

You will develop skills in managing day-to-day HR queries and advice.

The role has a strong generalist HR focus, and will give you the opportunity to develop the skills and behaviours to work across all disciplines in HR and you will be actively involved in recruitment, organisational change and various other HR project work.

The duration of this apprenticeship will be for 24 months.

You will be provided with support and guidance throughout your apprenticeship and will work towards a level 3 CIPD qualification.

About You

Applications are welcomed from people of all ages with a desire to make a difference in the local community and with a commitment to learning. 

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

Ø  3 GCSE’s, or equivalent qualifications, including Maths and English.

Ø  Good communication skills – your application will be used to assess your written communication skills so take care over it.

Ø  Ability to work well as part of a team and use own initiative.

Ø  A commitment to deliver high quality services to Havering residents and a knowledge of local issues.

Ø  Organisational skills with the ability to focus on achieving targets.

Ø  A desire to work towards a CIPD qualification

Ø  Reliability and punctuality.

Ø  Tech-savvy.  We need those skills to help us deliver 21st century services to residents.

Ø  A commitment to undertake and complete a qualification via a structured training programme.

Ø  Basic level of work experience.
