Salary: Scale SC6 £27,228 - £29, 241

Enfield Council manages 130 parks and open spaces within the borough, which collectively total more than 900 hectares of land. The borough’s parks and open spaces are diverse in size and character, ranging from small urban pocket parks to the large country parks, located within the green belt in the north of the borough.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Parks Activities and Engagement team for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead a range of projects that improve the quality and range of facilities within the borough’s parks and open spaces. The successful individual will be the service lead for the supporting of our local volunteer force, development of successful external funding bids, building and overseeing the delivering of park improvement projects and working closely with the Friends of Parks Groups.

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to work using their own initiative, manage their time, priorities and workload to meet deadlines.

  • An ability to work with external organisations and the community to develop and deliver Action Plans which support the Council’s service delivery,

  • Work with colleagues and partner organisations to oversee the delivery of park improvement projects from start to completion.

  • A track record of writing successful funding bids and securing external funding from a range of sources,
