Job Details

Enfield Council has a large on-going programme of Housing Refurbishment Works. These projects have a significant impact in improving homes and estates for the Council’s residents and wider community. You will work with project managers and officers to provide them practical advice in project delivery and act as the Council’s on-site quality control professional.

You will be involved in a wide range of projects including new homes in roof top extensions, ground source heating, internal and external works, fire safety improvement works etc. You will be part of a small dedicated team of clerks working within the major works team.

Ideally you will have had excellent experience of on-site project delivery gained through major works, housing development or day to day maintenance. Your knowledge of building techniques and materials is expected to be of a high standard as you will be working and negotiating with contractors and consultants to obtain good quality value for money projects for the Council.

The ability to work remotely and as a self-starter are required as you will be mainly site based.

You will have a good knowledge of social housing asset management and the need to maintain this in the interests of residents and the Council as landlord. You will work closely and professionally with both internal and external organisations displaying a high standard of customer service.
