Job Details

Enfield is a truly diverse borough combining major regeneration opportunities, vibrant town centres, attractive parkland and open space with inner city challenges. As one of London’s largest and definitely most exciting regeneration opportunities, Meridian Water will deliver transformational change, creating approximately 10,000 new homes and 6,000 jobs. The team is expanding in recognition of the need to accelerate development and deliver significant projects that will create the conditions for major inward investment.

You will play an important role in supporting the Council to deliver Meridian Water including project delivery, meanwhile uses, environmental and community based projects, physical development projects, project managing consultants, and engagement with the community as well as joint working with council officers, partners, landowners and developers.

We have a motivated, talented, and dynamic growing - team of multi-displinary regeneration officers, and we are particularly looking for staff with the same aspirations and vision with a regeneration background whether that be physical, social, economic or community focussed. We also want to hear from you if you have a civil engineering, housing, urban planning or property background. If you have previous experience in any of the above and can demonstrate a strong commitment to improving communities through partnership working, we would like to hear from you.

There has never been a more exciting time to join the team.

We have already achieved a lot: The Meridian Water station is open, we have a development partner to deliver the first 1,000 homes, we have acquired 37 hectares of land and we are innovating with meanwhile uses – we’ve opened a 10,000 capacity music and culture venue and we’re delivering makerspace with Building Bloqs.

Why it's great to work for Enfield Council

  • An excellent pension through the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
  • Up to 31 days annual leave depending on grade and length of service. You will also get eight public holidays per year and an extra day off at Christmas.
  • Interest free season ticket loan repayable over three or ten months.
  • Career development and learning experiences from a range of training courses and learning methods.
  • Employee Assistance Programme to provide advice and counselling services. This is a free and confidential service available to staff and members of their family.
  • Health and leisure discounts and tax-free bikes for work.

That’s why we encourage a culture that puts our customers at the heart of everything we do - by empowering our people to work together to find solutions, be open, honest and respectful, take responsibility and listen and learn. If you value these behaviours too, we’d love to hear from you - and of course we are always happy to talk flexible working, click here to find out more.
