Design Team Leader – Islington Architects

Islington Architects is an RIBA chartered practice working within Islington Council. Although taking on commissions from a variety of different clients, its primary role is the design and delivery of new housing for Islington Council.

The practice is expanding and we are looking to build a new team, headed up by a new manager. We are looking for an “all rounder”, for this critical post. The ideal candidate will combine excellent design skills with the ability to prepare working drawings and tender information, and will have extensive contract administration experience. As the post includes a managerial role it is essential that applicants have excellent communication skills, possess management and leadership skills and have the ability to mentor junior members of staff.

We are looking for someone with energy, drive, and a genuine interest in leading a team to produce high quality architecture.

The post includes generous annual leave, flexible working, a 35 hour week and access to the local government pension scheme.
