Senior Accountant (Accountancy)
Are you interested in working at the heart of London government within a dynamic Finance team?
Working alongside the Chief Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation of the Authority’s single entity and group accounts, promote strong financial management, robust reporting and work with external partners to deliver high quality outsourced services - payroll, exchequer, expenses and the financial system.
The post carries managerial responsibilities and is ideal for someone looking to move into their first managerial role. A CCAB qualified accountant, you will have an understanding of local government finance, strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent Excel skills. You should also be a confident communicator who is able to foster great working relationships with colleagues and relish working to challenging deadlines.
A flexible approach and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities is essential, as is the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
