Do you have experience of working with young adults or young people in an addictions setting? Would you like to be part of an organisation that utilises the professionalism, insight, expertise and passion of its staff to inspire individual recovery for the people they work with? Then join us as a Practitioner.

Right now, one of our partners, Wolverhampton 360, who is a part of Aquarius Action Projects, is looking for a practitioner to join their Wolverhampton service. Based in the West Midlands, Aquarius helps people overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling.

You’ll be working from Aquarius offices and community settings, working directly with young people and young adults who are using substances, and their families. You will help to develop person centred treatment packages and individual care plans, liaise with external agencies, and keep accurate records. You will work in a way that recognises and values diversity and makes the most of your understanding of the functional model of substance misuse, the cycle of change model, Motivational interviewing, (MI) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques.

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. You will have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office.

This is a part time role offered at 22.5 hours per week, with the postholder required to work three days per week.

The salary for this post is £20,015.00 with potential progression up to £23,420.00 per annum (pro-rata).

Closing Date: 30th January 2020.

So, get inspired and take the first steps towards a more fulfilling career.

In return, you can expect some great benefits, including 32 days' holiday, contributory pension scheme, employee assistance programme and childcare vouchers, plus exceptional professional development and training opportunities.
