Administrative Assistant
We are currently looking to recruit 2 Administrative Assistants within the Income Maximisation & Income Recovery Team.
Both roles are full-time post however part time hours may be considered depending on the individual service needs.
The details are outlined below:
Administrative Assistant Income Maximisation
Grade: SC4
Contract Type: Permanent/Full-Time
The successful candidates will be doing a variety of duties to support the Income Maximisation officers in Financially Assessing Adult Social Care users so that the correct contribution is made by the care user and is affordable
Duties will include:
Triaging and dealing with telephone and written enquiries from care users and their representatives
Ensuring completeness and preparing Adult Social Care Financial Assessment referrals for Income Maximisation officers to assess
Dealing with post and emails received, ensuring all records are captured on to teams work flow system
Picking up changes that may affect the Financial Assessment, making sure all information received for the change to be applied
Any other duties that ensure the smooth running of the team
Administrative Assistant Income Recovery Team
Grade: SC4
Contract Type: Permanent/Full-Time
Duties will include:
- Dealing with telephone and written enquires from tenants to ensure they clearly understand how to pay their rent and claim benefits
- Liaising with other Council departments to ensure rent is paid correctly and on time.
- Contacting the Department of Work and Pensions to request direct Universal Credit payments.
- Making enquiries on in-house systems and with external agencies to help collect former tenant debts.
- Help collect information to prepare cases for referral to the Legal department.
- Any other duties that ensure the smooth running of the team.

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for this post.
The advertised salary is for full time work, the salary for part time will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
