The role

We are looking for an experienced Learning and Development professional who is passionate about supporting the development of our workforces. You will take the lead on the Social Care Learning and Development. Day to day, you will ensure the effective management, coordination and delivery of professional learning and development services to senior leaders and managers.

You will work closely with the Principal Social Worker to provide opportunities that support a confident workforce who have the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to deliver a high quality, responsive, and safe service. You will provide specialist advice and guidance to Directors as the lead for this programme. Working with designated services to design, develop and deliver targeted learning programmes. You will be responsible for the management and monitoring of learning solutions for the council to meet corporate, bespoke and directorate specific needs, including budget allocations.

You will act as deputy to the council's Strategic Learning and Development lead and to represent the service at meetings with senior managers and partners. We are looking for someone who thrives on challenge and proactively seeks opportunities to work collaboratively with services across the council.
