Enfield Council, seeking candidates for an exciting role within the Adults Brokerage Team as a Specialist Broker for Learning Disabilities and Mental Health

Fixed term/Secondment for 12 months.

The key function of this post is:

To support the Brokerage service to manage the brokerage for complex and specialist care packages within the Service.

To work closely with the Integrated Learning Disability Service and Mental Health services and use the Brokerage process for finding creative and cost-effective solutions for people with complex and specialist need.

To negotiate with providers to ensure efficiency and best value for money for individual support packages within Enfield procurement process.

To provide an effective working relationship between the social care teams within the Adult Social Care services.

To support the Service Development team with developing market and strategic direction to ensure appropriate supply of quality services for people with complex needs

An external candidate, including Enfield Council agency workers, would be appointed on a fixed term contract, whilst internal candidates who are Council employees, would normally be expected to take up the post on a secondment basis.

To be eligible to apply for a secondment, Enfield Council employees must have completed probation and must have discussed/agreed the proposed secondment with their line manager. Fixed term contracts may be considered where secondment is not possible.

Secondments are the temporary loan of an employee from one part of the organisation to another part of the organisation and rely on the secondee to return to their substantive position on completion of the secondment.
