Job Introduction
Our current Premises Manager has been granted a twelve month sabbatical and we are seeking a well organised and highly motivated individual to cover this role from 13th January 2020 to 31st January 2021.
As our Premises Manager you will be the initial point of contact for all matters regarding buildings, grounds, maintenance and security. You will also support the Business Manager in looking after Health and Safety in respect of all of these areas to include COSHH and fire prevention. Additionally, you will manage our team of 8 in-house cleaners.
The successful candidate will need to have previous experience in premises management and all of the areas stated above. You will also need have a range of site maintenance skills such as painting and decorating, general repairs and DIY.
We are seeking someone who can plan effectively for projects and support our rolling building maintenance plan. You will need to manage contractors whilst they are on site and be able to interact with children and adults alike.
The working pattern for this role is a split shift from 7am to 10.45am and then 2.45pm to 6.30pm – Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 7am to 10.30am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You will be the main key holder and named security contact for the premises which may result in out of hours calls. You will need to be flexible in your working and there will be some requirement to stay later in the evenings to lock up the building after school events and parent’s evenings (overtime will be paid at appropriate rates for this).

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
