Building  Services Officer

Grade 3- £21591-£23187pa

This is a fixed term contract of 6 months

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team who, amongst other things, are responsible for the safety and security of the Romford Campus as a Building Services Officer (starting salary £ 21,591).

You will be expected to provide a range of essential services related to the operation and management of corporate buildings including the following:
• Reception services in corporate buildings
• General building administration duties
• Room bookings for the training suite, meeting rooms and committee rooms including use of Power Point, Word and Excel
• Post room activities, both electronic and manual
• Porterage and delivery services
• Meeting/training room set up and clearance
• Building opening and lockdown
• Minor building repairs and maintenance


You will be expected to work 5 days a week covering Monday to Saturday.
You will be expected to work shifts between the hours of 6am and 10.30pm.

You will be educated to a good general standard.

You will be working in a busy environment with lots of lifting and carrying.

You will be working in a busy environment where the ability to multi-task is essential.

You will be enthusiastic to assist helping people from all areas of the community.

You will be confident working in a front-line position and have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.

You will have good IT skills to help our customers.

As the public face of the Council, you will be required to present a positive personal image to our customers.

Finally you will have the ability to achieve excellent results working as part of the Havering Team.
