After undergoing a period of rebuilding and transition by bringing IT and Digital back into the Council as an in-house sovereign service, we are pleased to be recruiting to a number of exciting roles in Islington’s new Digital Services. We are now starting to deliver our approved business plan to:
- bring our current technology platforms up to date and fit for the future, supporting smart working to provide high quality services;
- build an agile and customer focussed IT organisation that brings deep technical and business knowledge to how we deliver successful solutions that meet the needs of our residents;
- unlock the digital capabilities of our workforce in making the most of what technology can offer to transform services.

This role will be heading up one of our specialist applications teams, ensuring the various systems we need to support our services in looking after our most vulnerable residents. We are looking for someone who has a strong background in managing social care and education systems spanning both Adults and Children’s Services, with a passion for ensuring we maintain high performance and keep up to date with what they can offer our front line services in delivering these critical functions.
Your team has a wealth of technical expertise and experience in this area and as the team leader you will be responsible for ensuring not only that the team continues to perform well but that we develop closer working relationships with other teams across Islington Digital Services to ensure we provide seamless end to end user centred solutions.
